Playing the hits of the 60s!
The Summer of 65: The Story
The Summer of 65 has been performing in the Northeast Ohio area for the past 9 years, and consistently bring excitement and a party atmosphere to your private event, music club, reunion, or festival. We're a tribute to the great artists of the 1960s! When the Summer of 65 shows up, it's a party!!
Vocals / Guitar
Denny started with the band in early 2010, and what a ride it has been. His incredible voice brings to life all the great ballads of the sixties such as "Unchained Melody", Crying" by Roy Orbison and "Let it be Me", just to name a few!
When he cranks up the pipes to rock out he nails songs like "Mony Mony", "Travelin' Band", "Jump Jive and Wail" and "Runaway". Wait! That's not all! Denny brings back Elvis (or maybe he IS Elvis) like the ole hound dog he is!
Denny is a great vocalist and entertainer in addition to being a musical history buff. He shares many highlights of all the bands and tunes he performs throughout a performance.
Vocals / Bass Guitar
Tony joined The Summer of '65 in 2009 and brings excellent musicianship on bass that demands a crowd's attention! He's an awesome player and vocalist and we're thrilled to expose him to the world! Whether we're playing orchestral ballads or down and dirty rock and roll, Tony puts the groove in the move.
Tony's amazing lead vocals include sixties heartbreak songs like "Run Around Sue" and "Do You Love Me" in addition to iconic rock songs like "Twist and Shout". You'll hear Tony performing backups throughout the night and works perfectly with our lead vocals. Tony is the man!
Vocals / Guitar
Mike, aka "The Beast", is a proven performer and prides himself on duplicating all the great licks within the numerous classics performed by The Summer of 65. In addition to his guitar prowess, it's evident he's enjoying himself on stage as he brings out the "Beast" in all of us when he sings renditions of Buddy Holly, Mitch Ryder and more!
His multi-style capability provides original lead riffs ranging from rockabilly to surf to Memphis soul and blues. Mike's attention to detail and equipment brings the absolute cleanest sound around. He is an unabashed "Fender guy" and understands 60's guitar work like no other! He's a "Beast" and it shows with every Summer of '65 performance.
